Together with my co-judge on The Great Interior Design Challenge, Daniel Hopwood, we have devised a Masterclass in Interior design. The intention of the course is to work closely with you on your own project so you take away all the necessary skills, advice and knowledge to design your home to your own brief.
My area of expertise is room scheming and sourcing furnishings, furniture and accessories from the high street and internet, showing you just how easy it s for you to source items for your own project. My experience with high street magazines means I have a fountain of knowledge on how to shop for the look across a wide range of consumer retailers. As a stylist I’m an expert in creating unique looks and colour schemes for any room and I’m particularly interested in how we can make our homes a true reflection of our own individuality through use of colour, furnishings and collections.
Daniel’s skill is defining the design process. Rather than dictating what is good or bad taste he prefers to help you discover how to find your own sense of style in order to achieve an exclusive look. He also has a practical, pragmatic approach to design and an extensive technical knowledge, which he would like to share. He will highlight the necessity of good spatial planning and lighting and how to achieve them as well guide you through designing fitted joinery. To help this process Daniel will offer access to his library of materials and finishes as well as guidance on how to put the designs on to paper.
Whether you’re starting with bare plastered walls or a room over cluttered with pieces you already own, this course will provide you with a stylish design package ready to execute. Click here for more information
